Monday's rehearsal changes and next week's schedule

Thank you for a GREAT costume parade!  We now know what needs to be done!  Monday's rehearsal will be a bit longer than we expected, so please have your child pack a dinner.  We will not have time to order pizza and have a sit-down meal, so please plan accordingly.  We need to get through the show twice, once with costumes and once without, in order for the students to feel comfortable for opening night.  We are sorry for the inconvenience, but we just want to be sure that everyone feels good come opening:)

Tech week schedule:  For this week, students will be called from 3:45 until 6:00pm.

Next week:  Students will be called from 3:45 until 7:00 or 7:30pm.  Some will get off early, so expect calls. A snack will be provided. 
Call time for shows: 
Thursday:  Right after school Friday:  6:00pm , Saturday:  6:00pm

COSTUME PARADE AND TECH WEEK SCHEDULE!!

COSTUME PARADE TOMORROW!!!! (Thursday)  Please have your kids wear what they have as far as a costume is concerned for the show.  This will help me to fill in what we do and do not have:)  Also, please bring in a laundry basket with your child's name on it for tech week:) Thanks!

Hello Willy Wonkerers!  (Is that even a word?)  Anyway, we will be collecting dues beginning tomorrow.  Please send in $20.00 per child involved in the play.  Please put your check or cash in an envelope marked with your child/children's name(s).  Also, T-shirts will be ordered soon!  These are included in your drama dues.  Please start checking the blog daily again as there will lots of info in the coming weeks.

OOMPA LOOMPA REHEARSAL UPDATE!!!! PLEASE NOTE!!

Attention all OOMPAs...I am your Oompa Loompa choreographer! My name is Meggan De Jesus, and I have a daughter in 7th grade (Bella – Veruca Salt) and a 4th and 1st grader as well. I am going to work with you to choreograph the 3 Oompa Loompa numbers.  There are a lot of OOMPAs – so I will need your full attention at rehearsals. Everyone will be featured! If you feel you have strong dance “moves” – speak up! And, if you’re not comfortable dancing a lot, let me know that too. I want to showcase your individual talents.  I will be choosing 2 dance captains to assist me - there will be rehearsals where I will not be there.  This is your time to shine! Everyone loves Oompa Loompas! Here is your dance rehearsal schedule (if you have dance shoes – like jazz shoes or ballet shoes -  bring them. If not, if you can dance in socks or tennis shoes):  Monday 1/14 4:30-5:45 Tuesday 1/15 3:30-4:30 Wednesday 1/16 3:45-4:45 Thursday 1/17 3:45-5:45 Friday 1/18 3:45-5:45 Wednesday 1/23 – 3:45-5:45 (not a specific OOMPA rehearsal, but you are called.) From 1/24 – the show you are called everyday from 3:45-5:45 PLEASE NOTE THESE CHANGES! Thanks!

Hello!  ...Just a quick reminder...there will be NO play rehearsal tomorrow!  The Candy Man, Candy kids and Adult Candy kid parents are called on Friday of this week.  Thanks!

ALSO...we are in need of some parents who are willing to help paint the set this Thursday after practice.  We would need you to be there around 5:45 and paint for a bit.  Please email us at our wmsdrama@wyomingcityschools.org email if you are available to help.  We are trying to get WAY ahead on the set so we can tackle costumes and props!

Hello all!
We hope your break was WONDERFUL and we hope you are well-rested and ready to do a MUSICAL!!!  Please note: THIS WEDNESDAY'S PRACTICE has been CHANGED TO FRIDAY.  We will choreograph the Candy Man song, so please be at practice if you are The Candy Man, a Wonka Kid, or a Wonka parent.

Also, we have started looking into costume needs.  If anyone has a German outfit that would fit David Easton, please send it our way.  We are also in search of small (preferably white or off-white) bloomers and suspenders of ALL colors.  We will be in touch with a more thorough list after we take more inventory.

SET BUILDING THIS WEEKEND!!!

REMINDER:  We will have set construction for all who signed up to help on Saturday, January 5th from 9-11:30am and on Sunday, January 6th from 1 to 4pm.  Please come and help us get ahead on the Willy Wonka set!  We take ALL skilled workers from builders to painters to designers!  COME ONE COME ALL!!!!  Thanks and see you on Saturday!
